How do I upload my Leads in to ProspectBoss?


Uploading your leads in to ProspectBoss is as easy as creating a campaign


But, there are a few things to remember about your data before you load it in to ProspectBoss.


First your data needs to be saved as a specific file type known as a CSV (Comma Delimited) file. To create a CSV you can follow these simple steps.


1. Open your Spreadsheet with Excel


2. Choose the "Save As.." function from your File menu



3. In the "Save As.." dialog box there is a drop down box labeled "Save As Type" inside this drop down box is a list of different file types you can save your spreadsheet as. What you have to do is look for .CSV (Comma Delimited) and select that as the "Save as Type" and then of course name the file whatever you want it to be named and then press "Save" button to save the file to your computer.



Once you have the .CSV file of your data you can then follow the steps in the “How do I Create a Campaign?” article to upload your leads in to the system.


There is also one more important thing to remember when formatting your data to go in to ProspectBoss.com. At the top of your spreadsheet in row 1, that row should contain the headers or column names for all of the data columns in your spreadsheet (i.e. First Name, Last Name, Phone, Address, etc.). This will make it easier for the system to read your spreadsheet when you are creating you campaign and formatting your contact list there in.
